Greetings from our Erasmus+ job shadowing week in the Collège Public Marie Curie in the heart of Tourcoing. Tourcoing is in the North of France near the border of Belgium. Historically the city was known as the textile capital of France and the school is surrounded by beautiful historic architecture. The Collège Public Marie Curie focuses on personalised learning, positivity, psychosocial skill building and has a specialised inclusion programme. We have been welcomed by the students, teachers and staff with open arms, the hospitality instantaeous and heartfelt.

One of the specialised programmes in the school includes gardening. The students work in a greenhouse where they plant and nurture seeds into thriving plants. This work had a calming effect, teaches practical skills and helps the students focus on the rest of their school day.
