A group from KSYK was invited to the British Embassy to participate in a young women’s mentoring event in celebration of International Women’s Day 2023. On 6th March our teachers Pia Skyttä and Ritva Korhonen were joined by 9 students from the English Stream classes 22e and 22f to this amazing opportunity for our young, motivated students.
Our students were mentored by successful women such as ambassadors, diplomats, vice presidents of corporations, directors from the foreign office, journalists etc. The students got to discuss various topics and were empowered by these influential career women.
The event was a real confidence boost and our group was treated like guests of honour at the beautiful residence of His Majesty’s Ambassador to Finland, Mrs Theresa Bubbear OBE.
